Twentieth Century Fox – In the motion picture business “Fox” as in Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation comes from the pre-merger of Twentieth Century Pictures and Fox Film Corporation. Fox Film Corporation was founded by William Fox in 1915. Twentieth Century Pictures was founded by Richard D. Zanuck, Joseph Schenck, Raymond Griffith and William Goetz. The two companies merged on May 31, 1935.
