Green tea contains more than three hundred enlisted compounds, of which the best known is, of course, caffeine; about 30 mg in one cup of tea. Besides caffeine, green tea contains other types of xanthine alkaloids, such as theophylline, theobromine, dimethylxanthine, adenine.
